According to Odaily, SlowMist founder Cosine stated on the X platform that a certain exchange has taken down the page requiring users to enter their plaintext seed phrases. He pointed out that for wallets, the security model of online web pages is very low, much lower than that of browser extensions or apps. Collecting plaintext seed phrases on web pages is easily mimicked by phishing websites and has long been a common phishing tactic.
