ZachXBT criticizes Circle again for inaction during the Drift hack, leading to stolen funds moving out of Solana via CCTP
Odaily reported that the renowned on-chain investigator ZachXBT has once again criticized Circle, stating that the Drift hack occurred during U.S. trading hours, and millions of USDC were transferred from Solana to Ethereum via CCTP (Circle’s cross-chain protocol), while Circle remained inactive and took no action. A few days earlier, Circle had arbitrarily frozen at least 16 corporate hot wallets, which are still slowly being unfrozen.
ZachXBT concluded, “Circle is the bad actor in this industry.”
