US media: Minneapolis Fed advisor Philan is expected to become Trump's chief economic advisor
According to Golden Ten Data on April 9, Politico reported that three people familiar with the matter revealed that Minneapolis Fed advisor Chris Phelan is considered a likely candidate to be selected as Trump's new chief economist. If nominated by the Senate and approved, this candidate, who holds a PhD from the University of Chicago, will become the next Chair of the Council of Economic Advisers. He will succeed Stephen Milan, who officially left the position in February.
