Foresight News reports, according to UK ITV News, the Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister stated that the Strait of Hormuz is open to all civilian vessels and reports of its closure are incorrect. However, due to wartime residual mines, all ships need to contact the Iranian authorities to obtain guidance on safe routes. Anyone who communicates with the Iranian authorities has been granted passage permission.
