The Philadelphia Semiconductor Index closed up 2.31%, at 8,889.828 points, marking a record closing high for the third consecutive trading day. Ahead of the launch of the US stock earnings season next week by Goldman Sachs, JPMorgan, Citigroup, and others, the Philadelphia Stock Exchange KBW Bank Index closed down 0.69%, at 165.34 points. The Dow Jones KBW Regional Banking Index closed down 1.21%, at 13.61 points.
