Golden Ten Data reported on April 11 that, according to Energy Intelligence Group journalist Amunna Bakr: If there are indeed sea mines in the Strait of Hormuz (which is a big assumption), locating and clearing the mines could take several weeks. The mere presence of sea mines, whether real or perceived, would further dampen ship owners’ willingness to pass through. Some experts noted that, depending on the type of mine, some could even shift position.
