Golden Ten Data reported on April 13 that CBA analyst Vivek Dhar stated in a research report that the US threat to blockade the Strait of Hormuz could further intensify the Middle East conflict. The blockade directly threatens Iran's oil exports through the strait; last month, daily oil exports through the strait were about 1.7 million barrels. Therefore, the blockade would further tighten the physical markets for crude oil and refined oil products.
