(1) Sri Lanka's Minister of Energy, Anura Karunatilaka, told Daily Mirror that the authorities plan to purchase crude oil from Russia and have decided to settle the transactions in Renminbi. (2) He revealed that negotiations are still ongoing, and the agreement is expected to be finalized after two more rounds of talks. (3) Karunatilaka emphasized that Sri Lanka's current oil reserves can last until the end of July, and ensuring uninterrupted supply of fuel and electricity is his top priority.
