Meta Pool: A fake stNEAR contract has been discovered, users are advised to verify the official address
Foresight News reports that the liquid staking protocol Meta Pool has issued a security warning, stating that a counterfeit stNEAR contract has been discovered attempting to impersonate its official staking pool and token. This contract has no affiliation with Meta Pool or any official NEAR liquid staking providers.
Meta Pool stated that while no significant financial losses have been detected so far, the team has observed suspicious activities such as parties conducting test interactions via Intents. Users are advised to interact only with official verified contracts and to always verify contract addresses before staking or swapping, rather than relying solely on the token name or symbol to judge authenticity. The team will continue to monitor the situation.
