Golden Ten Data, April 24 – U.S. stocks declined on Thursday amid choppy trading, as hopes for a swift resolution to the Iran conflict gradually faded. Meanwhile, investors are working to digest a mix of positive and negative earnings reports, and concerns about the disruptive impact of artificial intelligence on the software industry have resurfaced. "We are caught between earnings season and war headlines that are unlikely to bring good news—it's like playing a game of 'musical chairs'," said Jay Hatfield, CEO and Chief Investment Officer at Infrastructure Capital Advisors. "The market has already risen significantly, and some investors are looking to reduce their positions, using the war as an excuse, which isn't necessarily a bad thing."
