Golden Ten Data reported on April 28th that U.S. Energy Secretary Wright said on Tuesday local time that not all the mines laid by Iran in the Strait of Hormuz need to be cleared for ships to resume passage through this critical channel. Wright stated during an interview at the 11th “Three Seas Initiative” summit in Dubrovnik: “We only need to open a passage for vessels to get in and out. I believe this can be achieved quickly.” Iran had previously claimed to have laid mines on the most commonly used shipping route in the narrow waterway. In another interview on Tuesday, Wright also said that the United States plans to announce a "historic" pipeline agreement that will increase the volume of American oil and natural gas imported by Europe, as part of Trump’s "Peace Pipeline Agenda."
