Analyst: High valuations lead to insufficient attractiveness of credit assets

Golden Ten Data reported on April 28 that Schroders analyst James Bilson stated in a report that the valuations of investment-grade and high-yield credit lack appeal and fail to reflect current risks, making these assets unattractive. Schroders has shifted back to a negative stance on high-yield and investment-grade credit. Bilson pointed out that credit spreads (the premiums relative to government bonds) widened in March but have now reverted to levels similar to those seen when the Iran conflict broke out. Credit assets face geopolitical risks, credit risks, and potential risks of disruption from AI.
