Nvidia invests billions of dollars to support Corning in building a new factory

Glonghui, May 8 | The CEOs of NVIDIA and Corning confirmed on Thursday that, in addition to the up to $3.2 billion equity investment disclosed earlier this week, NVIDIA has provided several billion dollars more to help Corning build a new factory. NVIDIA CEO Jensen Huang said the company has paid Corning several billion dollars in advance payments. When NVIDIA announced its equity investment in Corning earlier this week, the advance payment was not disclosed. "This will create thousands of jobs," Huang said, adding that Corning "will build a brand new factory," enabling its production capacity in the United States to "increase tenfold."
