```htmlGolden Ten Data reported on May 21 that ADNOC, the national oil company of the United Arab Emirates, stated that even if the Middle East conflict ends now, full recovery of oil shipments through the Strait of Hormuz will not occur until the first or second quarter of 2027. This outlook is one of the most pessimistic among industry executives and underscores the long-term economic impact caused by the Iran war. With the near closure of the strait, the International Energy Agency has called this the largest energy crisis in history. Iran has established de facto control over this key passage, which carries about one-fifth of global oil supplies. The resulting surge in energy prices has pushed up inflation and increased concerns about a potential recession. ADNOC CEO Sultan Al Jaber said at an Atlantic Council event on Wednesday that even if the conflict ends tomorrow, it would still take at least four months to restore shipments to 80% of pre-war volumes, and full recovery will not be possible until the first or even the second quarter of 2027.```
