Golden Ten Data reported on May 27 that European Central Bank Governing Council member Mahrouf said on Wednesday that he has not yet seen any evidence of second-round inflationary effects caused by energy price increases triggered by the Iran war, but this does not mean such effects do not exist. "We have seen some indirect effects... I have not yet seen the emergence of second-round effects, but that does not mean they do not exist, and I will also review relevant information at the next meeting," Mahrouf said. When asked whether the Governing Council might raise interest rates at the meeting in early June, he stated that their decision would depend on new economic forecasts, his own analysis of economic data, and the opinions of his colleagues.
