The Nasdaq 100 Index closed up 0.8% in early trading, reaching a new record closing high. Among its constituents, defense stock Axon rose 12.5%, Arm Holdings gained 11%, Palantir climbed 7.7%. AMD, Workday, Qualcomm, CrowdStrike, and Palo Alto Networks (PANW) each rose as much as 4.5%. Ross Stores fell 2.7%, Pinduoduo lost 4.1%, Lumentum dropped 4.2%, and Synopsys slid 9%.
