The Drift Protocol team is advancing the protocol restart, recalculating risk parameters for perpetual and spot markets. Initially, a conservative strategy will be adopted and gradually relaxed as TVL recovers. The open interest cap will be linked to liquidation capacity, vAMM pricing and spread logic will be optimized, funding rate mechanism volatility will be reduced, and legacy code will be removed to minimize the attack surface.
