Most semiconductor stocks rose, with Broadcom up about 1%, Micron Technology up about 1%, and ARM up about 1%. Spot gold slipped below $4,000/ounce, and most gold stocks declined. AngloGold Ashanti fell about 6%, Harmony Gold fell about 6%, and Pan American Silver dropped about 4%.
