Micron CEO: Humanoid Robots Expected to Drive Decades-Long Storage Demand Cycle
BlockBeats News, June 25th, Micron CEO Sanjay Mehrotra stated during this morning's earnings conference call that "In the field of robotics, the continuous progress of simulation, foundational models, and integrated software-hardware technology stack is accelerating the development of Physical AI. This is creating a growing and content-rich opportunity for high-bandwidth, low-power storage and memory devices, which will support real-time perception, inference, and control."
The storage capacity onboard humanoid robots is 10 times that of an average L2+ level car. We anticipate that a sustained and sizable multi-decade storage demand cycle will begin in the latter part of this decade."
