According to a statement first sent to the media, five senators—Elizabeth Warren, Richard Blumenthal, Gary Peters, Dick Durbin, and Ron Wyden—said that the disclosures intensified concerns that President Trump is pressuring Congress to pass cryptocurrency-related legislation, while the industry to benefit from the bill is one from which President Trump stands to profit.
