United Maritime Information Center: The southern channel of the Strait of Hormuz remains open

The Joint Maritime Information Center issued a notice on the same day, saying that U.S. forces are prepared to safeguard freedom of navigation and legitimate commercial activities in accordance with international law, and the southern channel of the Strait of Hormuz remains open. However, the institution also noted that the security threat level in the Strait of Hormuz and surrounding waters remains “severe.”
