  1. The Securities and Exchange Commission of Thailand announced plans to launch a new type of individual tax-free savings account within this year. Specific implementation details are currently being finalized with the Ministry of Finance, as confirmed by Secretary-General Pornanong Busaratragoon in an interview.
  2. This account is designed based on the Japanese NISA (Nippon Individual Savings Account) model, stipulating that individuals who invest no less than 600,000 baht (approximately 17,800 USD) each year will be eligible for corresponding tax incentives.
  3. This initiative aims to encourage the public to allocate funds to stocks, bonds, and mutual funds for the long term, thereby strengthening personal retirement reserves and guiding residents' savings towards long-term financial assets.
