Due to the mutual suspension of attacks between the United States and Iran, international crude oil futures prices plunged by more than 6% after trading began for the new week on the 26th. As of 18:43 Eastern Time on the 26th, the price of light crude oil futures for September delivery on the New York Mercantile Exchange fell as low as $83.10 per barrel, down $6.21, a decrease of 6.95%; September delivery Brent crude oil futures on the London market dropped to as low as $89.58 per barrel, down $7.20, a decrease of 7.44%. At the same time, the alleviation of market concerns spurred a significant rise in New York stock index futures, while international gold and silver futures prices rose markedly. According to a report by the American news website Axios on the 25th, U.S. President Trump ordered the U.S. military on the 24th not to launch strikes against Iran that day, breaking the pattern of the U.S. military launching air strikes against Iran for 13 consecutive days.
