Safe handled nearly 130 million transactions in a single quarter, setting a new record, but revenue fell by more than 30% quarter-on-quarter.
BlockBeats news, on July 29, the latest report from crypto wallet protocol Safe shows that it processed nearly 130 million transactions in the second quarter, with the total number of accounts created exceeding 63 million, a year-on-year increase of 20%. Roughly 1 out of every 48 USD stablecoins in global supply is stored in Safe. However, revenue for the quarter dropped to about $1.98 million, down from $2.88 million in the first quarter, a decrease that may be related to pressure on cryptocurrency prices.
The report reveals that consumer applications on World Chain and Polygon contributed the majority of Safe's transaction volume this quarter, with World App accounting for 52% and Polymarket 35.7%. In addition, Safenet, Safe's on-chain security network launched in April, had processed 456,000 transaction checks by the end of the quarter, with security provided by staked SAFE tokens, currently totaling about 54.8 million tokens.
