- XRP Ledger growth strengthens long-term outlook despite cautious market positioning.
Ripple — XRP, is at a critical stage after weeks of steady price compression. Traders now expect a decisive move as the trading range continues to tighten. The current setup leaves little room for hesitation because price approaches the end of a symmetrical triangle. Technical signals, futures data, and on-chain activity all suggest that a breakout could arrive soon. The next move may shape XRP’s short-term direction and offer fresh opportunities for active traders.
XRP Price Nears a Critical Decision
XRP trades around $1.06 as buyers defend an important support zone. That area stretches from $1.03 to $1.06 and continues attracting demand. Sellers, however, remain active between $1.12 and $1.15. That resistance has blocked every recent recovery attempt. The daily chart shows price approaching the triangle’s narrowest point. Such formations often produce strong moves after long periods of consolidation. A breakout above resistance with rising volume would strengthen the bullish case.
A failure below $1.03 could invite another wave of selling pressure. Current trading activity remains cautious. Buying strength has not fully returned. Selling pressure, however, has eased compared with late 2025. Recent CoinGlass data also showed about $2.94 million in net spot outflows on August 5. That figure suggests large holders remain patient instead of rushing into new positions. Futures traders also reduced exposure during recent sessions. Futures volume reached roughly $1.35 billion while open interest stayed near $2.27 billion.
Trading volume slipped more than four percent during the past day. Open interest changed very little during that period. CryptoQuant data supports that cautious outlook. Open interest remains close to a six-month low. The estimated leverage ratio also continues falling. Funding rates moved between slightly negative and slightly positive levels. Those readings show balanced positioning rather than aggressive bullish or bearish bets.
XRP Ledger Growth Supports Long-term Confidence
Network activity continues improving despite slow price movement. Real-world asset participation on the XRP Ledger expanded during the past month. The number of RWA holders increased by more than 25%. Represented asset value also climbed to roughly $4.06 billion. Ripple also invested in two companies focused on strengthening XRP Ledger infrastructure.
Stronger ecosystem development often improves long-term investor confidence. Whale activity, however, has slowed considerably. Transfers above $1 million dropped from 70 last week to only two today. The NVT ratio also declined sharply against the three-month average. Transaction count decreased by a smaller margin.
For now, traders continue watching key technical levels. Bulls must defend support near $1.06. Buyers also need a convincing move above $1.15 with stronger volume. Until then, XRP remains inside a tightening range with a breakout appearing increasingly close.
