1. According to the Iraqi National News Agency, the Iraqi oil minister stated that the country's current daily crude oil production is 2.7 million barrels, half of which is for export. Baghdad is negotiating with Iran regarding arrangements to allow Iraqi oil exports, but the agreement has not yet taken effect. 2. The oil minister also disclosed plans to build an oil pipeline from Basra to Fishkabur, with an expected transport capacity of 2 million barrels per day and a total project cost estimated at no more than $15 billion. This pipeline will include a branch line from Haditha to Baniyas, pump stations, and storage facilities.
