03:44 AM EDT, 08/27/2026 (MT Newswires) -- HSBC Holdings (HSBC) is considering to combine its major banking operations in Singapore under one entity, as part of efforts to simplify its structure, Bloomberg News reported Thursday, citing unnamed people familiar with the matter. The British lender is looking to combine its wholesale, retail and private banking businesses in the country, according to the sources. A spokesperson for HSBC told Bloomberg that the bank continues to review its organizational structure for "opportunities for simplification."
