Eldorado Gold Completes Energization of Skouries Mine in Greece

07:37 AM EDT, 09/28/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Eldorado Gold (EGO) has completed energization of its Skouries mine in Greece, backing the planned processing and mining activities as the company advances the mine toward commercial production, according to a Monday statement. The mine now has a permanent connection to the Greek national power grid, giving it a "reliable, long-term power source," Eldorado Gold said. Skouries is expected to achieve commercial production in Q4, with an estimated average output of 140,000 ounces of gold and 67 million pounds of copper per year over its mine life, the company added.
