Barnes & Noble Education Reports First Quarter Loss
Barnes & Noble Education Inc., headquartered in Florham Park, New Jersey, announced on Tuesday that it experienced a net loss of $18.3 million during its fiscal first quarter.
The company reported a loss of 54 cents per share, while the loss narrowed to 47 cents per share after excluding one-time expenses.
During this period, the operator of college campus bookstores generated $288.2 million in revenue.
Since the start of the year, shares of Barnes & Noble Education have fallen by approximately 5%. Over the past year, the stock has seen a 22% decrease.
