Bitcoin is trading today at $69.900, up 5,06% in the last 24 hours, after surpassing the $70.000 mark and touching near $70.500 at the peak of the most recent move. The recovery gained momentum since Friday night and restored traction to the market, which also saw several altcoins accelerate with significant gains.

The rally comes after a week of fluctuations. On February 6th, BTC fell to $60.000, but quickly rebounded and returned to the $72.000 region. Resistance, however, held the price and opened the way for a new correction, with the asset trading between $68.000 and $72.000 for a few days.
Selling pressure reappeared on the 10th, pushing bitcoin down to $66.000 on February 12th and to $65.000 on Friday morning. This level acted as support, with buyers entering and reversing the trend, pushing the price first to $68.000 and then $69.000, before breaking through $70.000.
With this movement, Bitcoin's market capitalization returns to around US$1,39 trillion, while its dominance over other cryptocurrencies remains close to 56,7%, suggesting that BTC's advance is occurring without completely eliminating altcoins from the market in the same trading session.
Among the major names, Ethereum is trading at US$2.095,41, up 7,10% on the day, recovering ground after falling below US$2.000 midweek. XRP is up 8,16% and trading at US$1,47. BNB is up 5,77% to US$631,92, while Solana is trading at US$87,10 after an 8,95% gain.
Other cryptocurrencies are also following the upward trend. Dogecoin is trading at US$0,10, up 7,15%, and Bitcoin Cash reaches US$564,47, advancing 7,37%. TRX registers a more contained increase, at US$0,28, with a gain of 2,34%.
Outside the main group, the day's highlights are noteworthy for their momentum. Pippin (PIPPIN) surged 31,6% and is trading at US$0,6631. Morpho (MORPHO) rose 20% and is trading at US$1,35, while Bittensor (TAO) advanced 19%, quoted at US$192,19, on a day of strong demand for alternative tokens.
With the surge spread across different segments, the total cryptocurrency market capitalization reaches approximately US$2,455 trillion, following an increase of around US$100 billion in 24 hours.
