Golden Ten Data, April 16 — According to foreign media reports, European Union officials stated that the EU is drafting plans to address an imminent aviation fuel supply shortage and to maximize refinery output. European airlines have warned that due to the impact of the Iran war, there could be an aviation fuel shortage within weeks, potentially disrupting summer travel plans. Compared to other transport fuels, Europe is more reliant on aviation fuel imports, with approximately 75% coming from the Middle East. A draft document shows that starting next month, the European Commission will launch an EU-wide map of petroleum product refinery capacities and take measures to "ensure the full utilization and maintenance of existing refinery capacity." Officials familiar with the proposal stated that the EU is also formulating measures targeting aviation fuel supply, but these measures are still being refined.
