SK Hynix market capitalization surpasses 1 trillion dollars
Golden Ten Data reported on May 27 that on Wednesday, SK Hynix became the second Asian company to join the trillion-dollar club after Samsung Electronics. Its stock price has surged by over 900% in the past year, reflecting investors’ confidence in its position as a leading supplier of advanced memory chips. SK Hynix is at a critical juncture in the global artificial intelligence buildout. Memory chips have become the key bottleneck determining the expansion speed of data centers. Investors and analysts expect memory chip shortages to last until 2027, granting SK Hynix, Samsung, and Micron Technology unusual pricing power over the world’s largest technology companies. Barclays analyst Simon Coles wrote: “We expect SK Hynix to maintain its leading position in the high-bandwidth memory sector. Product pricing is expected to remain favorable, supply tightness will persist, and SK Hynix’s potential listing in the United States will be highlighted as a catalyst.”
